Week 3
Week #3
Today's post is a bit late because of the packed weekend. Saturday was the CCSI annual talent show, Sunday I attended worship at Alive International church, and yesterday Heidi, Kate and I tagged along on a tour of Tokyo lead by one of the short term missionaries.
Seeing Tokyo for the first time was so exciting! I enjoyed every moment of it. The sheer amount of people and buildings was staggering. On the long train ride home, however, I couldn't help but feel a deep sadness as I thought of the thousands of people in that city and all over Japan that are living without the hope of the gospel. I was flung past hundreds of people I would never know or get to share the gospel with. It is a sobering thought that still hangs over me today. Please pray that more people would be sent into Japan, and that more churches would be planted in Tokyo.
I've settled into the pace here a little more and am really enjoying teaching English and art. Thank you to everyone who prayed for my Japanese studies. I still need prayer for continued motivation, but I am so excited as I have started weekly lessons with a Japanese teacher! Thank you Lord~
